The selection of the contributed papers and the
division into oral and poster presentations will be made on the basis of
a one-page abstract submitted by the participants. The Proceedings will
be published as a volume of the American Institute of Physics Conference
Series.
Abstract Submission
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is June 30, 2003. One-page
abstracts should be submitted for each invited and contributed paper.

We ask
you to submit your abstract (please indicate your preferred Session) as
either a pdf or a postscript formatted file. Plain text is also
acceptable but discouraged. You will be notified of the acceptance of
your contribution as poster or oral (and of the allocated number of
pages) by July 15.
Book of Abstracts
Accepted Abstracts will be collected in a "book" and distributed to the participants in Como.

The Registration Fee of Euro 350 (VAT 20% included) should be paid by
July 30, 2003, either by credit card or by bank transfer. The fee covers
admission to the Symposium, one copy of the Proceedings, coffee breaks,
and social events.
Hotel accommodation in Como can be arranged by the
Conference Secretariat on a "first come, first served" basis.

Proceedings of the Symposium
The Proceedings will be published by the American Institute of Physics
in the Conference Proceedings Series. Indicatively, papers will run up
to: 8 pages for Long Oral Papers, 6 pages for Short Oral Papers, and 4
pages for Poster Papers.
The original camera-ready manuscript plus one
copy must be handed over at the Registration Desk in Como by September
19, 2003. Each paper must be submitted together with a signed Transfer
of Copyright form. The instruction booklet, the forms, as well as
Microsoft Word templates and LaTeX classes are available at American
Institute of Physics website at
http://proceedings.aip.org/proceedings/authors.jsp.
Please be sure to select all templates and instructions for the 6 x 9 inch format.
Poster presentations
Two poster sessions will be organized. The poster board size will be 95 cm width x 180 cm height.
