Workshop on RF Heating Technology of Fusion Plasmas 2010

We are cordially inviting you to attend the US-EU-JPN Workshop on RF Heating Technology that will be held in Como, Italy. The aim of the workshop is, as in former editions, to highlight the state of the art in R&D of RF Technology useful for additional heating of fusion plasmas, and possibly to establish common work between different actors in the field.

US-EU-JPN workshops on RF heating technology have a long history (recently: 2007 Heidelberg, Germany; 2008 San Diego, CA, USA; 2009 Fukuoka, Japan). They have contributed to promote RF heating in fusion research through stimulating discussions and resulting collaborations. We would like to extend the invitation to our colleagues of the ITER participating countries to attend as observers and to give presentations if they wish.

The workshop will take place in the luxurious halls of the Town Civic Theatre and will be hosted by the “Società del Casino”, established in 1821 as a private club supporting social and cultural initiatives in Como.
This charming town, not far from Milan and near the Switzerland, is famous for its lake and for its villas with florid parks and secular trees. From old Romanesque churches to Rationalist architecture, Como is reach in cultural proposals, and the nearly valleys are full of opportunities for mountain lovers.
